IN ORDER FOR THESE LEVERS TO WORK PROPERLY UPON INSTALLATION, RUN THE GEAR THROUGH THE THREADS PRIOR TO INSTALLING USING A POWER DRILL, SOMETIMES IT THREADS TIGHTLY, IF YOU FEEL THAT THEY GEAR IS EXTREMELY TIGHT, THEN STOP AND DO NOT FORCE IT, YOU MAY BE CROSS THREADING THE LEVER WHICH WILL DAMAGE IT. MAKE SURE THEY ARE THREADING PROPERLY AND NOT CROSS THREADING

Remove the metal pickup from your original Lever and install it into the replacement, You may have to adjust the slot it fits into with a dremel, place a drop of super glue in the slot to keep it in place.
